In times of multiple crises, there is considerable pressure on policymakers on how to deliver pioneering policies and build majorities that set the tone for transformative pathways. This session will discuss research that provides decision makers with evidence and practical conclusions on how progressives can strengthen their electoral position coming out of the crisis and vis-à-vis the centre-right. It will consider the role of the state, changing value sets post-Covid and what good political leadership requires. Additionally, the discussion will highlight the critical demands of emerging movements, parties, and alliances to win public trust.
