Tim is Professor of Politics at Queen Mary University of London. He is a graduate of Cambridge, Northwestern and Sheffield Universities, and previously taught at Sheffield, Victoria University of Wellington, and the University of Sussex. His research focuses on political parties in Britain and in Europe, and in particular their members and the electoral and policy challenges posed to them by migration and the populist parties which exploit that issue. Tim's media work has seen him write op-eds for a number of UK and overseas newspapers, and led to appearances on both television and radio to talk about politics and current affairs. You can find his non-academic writing, collected on his blog.
