Michael Werz is a Senior Fellow at the Center for American Progress, a Washington-based think tank. He has taught as Adjunct Professor at the “Center for German and European Studies” in the School of Foreign Service at Georgetown University and was a Senior Transatlantic Fellow with the German Marshall Fund in Washington D.C. He is widely published on the areas of international politics with a focus on Turkey, Mexico and Asia, as well as on race, ethnicity, and nationalism in Europe. He is an expert on U.S. and European foreign policy, migration policy, climate migration, domestic politics, EU policy, and government relations in Europe and the United States—and a regular public speaker and commentator on radio and television on U.S. and European policy.
