Marius Busemeyer is Professor of Political Science with a focus on Comparative Political Economy at the Department of Political and Administrative Sciences and Speaker of the Cluster of Excellence "The Politics of Inequality" at the University of Konstanz. He is also a senior research fellow at the WSI (Düsseldorf). His research focuses on comparative political economy and welfare state studies, education and social policy, government spending, theories of institutional change, and public opinion and individual attitudes toward the welfare state. He studied political science, economics, administration, and law at the University of Heidelberg and the Harvard Kennedy School of Government.
