Kati Piri

Kati Piri has been serving as a member of the House of Representatives since 2021. A member of the Labour Party (PvdA), she previously was a Member of the European Parliament (MEP) within the Progressive Alliance of Socialists and Democrats from 2014 until 2021. In the European Parliament, she was Vice-Chairwoman of the Social Democratic S&D Group and was primarily active in the fields of foreign affairs, civil liberties, human rights and defence. In addition, she was co-rapporteur on the Brexit negotiations with the United Kingdom and is a member of the Labour Party executive as International Secretary.
