Javi López

Javi López is a Spanish Member of the European Parliament and member of the Progressive Alliance of Socialists and Democrats (S&D) since 2014. He is Co-Chair of the Euro-Latin American Parliamentary Assembly (EuroLat), and a member of the Committee on Environment, Public Health and Food Safety (ENVI) and the Subcommittee on Security and Defence (SEDE). His political activity at the European level also includes being a member of the Presidency of the Party of European Socialist (PES) and President of the PES Environment, Climate Change and Energy Network. He also takes part as an ex-officio member in the Executive Committee of the Socialists’ Party of Catalonia (PSC). On the Committee on Environment, Public Health, and Food Safety, he focuses his efforts on the fight against climate change and ensuring a just ecological transition.
