Constanze Stelzenmüller holds the Fritz Stern Chair on Germany and Trans-Atlantic Relations at the Center on the United States and Europe at Brookings. She joined Brookings in 2014 as the Inaugural Robert Bosch Senior Fellow; from October 2019 to March 2020, she held the Kissinger Chair on Foreign Policy at the Library of Congress. Previously, she worked at the German Marshall Fund of the United States (GMF) and the German weekly "DIE ZEIT". She holds degrees from Bonn and Harvard; her areas of expertise include German, European, and transatlantic strategy and security policy, as well as international law and human rights.
