Anneliese Dodds is Chair of the Labour Party and Labour’s Policy Review, and Labour MP for Oxford East. Anneliese previously served as the first female Shadow Chancellor of the Exchequer, and in that role was the first woman to deliver the Mais Lecture in which she established Labour’s principles for post-Covid economic policy. Anneliese represented the South East from 2014 to 2017 as the Member of European Parliament. In that role, Anneliese served on the Economic and Monetary Affairs Committee, focusing especially on tax avoidance and rules on financial services, to help prevent any repeat of the global financial crisis. Before becoming an MEP, Anneliese worked for many years as an academic.
