The problems of the 21st century are complex. Once in office, progressives have a small window of opportunity to implement change. What forms of governance are capable of tackling problems ensnared in global economic and political systems during one political term? Can humility be the driving virtue for 21st century policy-making? Using current examples from the United States, New Zealand, Portugal, and Finland, we will discuss what constitutes successful governance. This panel will take a closer look at different forms of governance and debate what progressive leadership in the 2020s should look like.
